You are a business owner. The very first thing you should be doing when you decide to make changes is create or edit your personal home.
Your personal home includes all the things that are the most important to you – your family, beliefs, hobbies or anything else that you could not live without. These make up the boundaries for your business, lines that no matter what the sacrifice in the business you are not willing to cross. These boundaries are made clear to those who work with you; but especially to yourself. Remember money is an illusion. True happiness come from getting the Big Picture of your life together.
Next how do you choose to see the world? As it is? As the nightly news projects it, through the lenses of entertainment or through your friends’ viewpoints? Decide on having your own glasses through which you view the world, and try to color it rose-hued. Or to put it bluntly, have your own sense of self and the world that is an expression of your thoughts and perspective.
As soon as you are crystal clear what your boundaries are, you can begin to welcome other people into your sphere without worrying about them threatening your business culture, your own identity or the mission you are passionate about sharing.
